Respond to work order requests on a daily basis. ![]() ![]() Gene is an Accredited Airport Executive with the American Association of Airport Executives and is an International Airport Professional with the Airport Council International.Under the general direction of the Regional Director, the primary responsibilities of the Maintenance Director include the overall maintenance/upkeep of the Living Community (facility and grounds) including preventative maintenance, repairs and inspections.Įnsure all aspects of the facility are in a good state of repair. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Public Administration from the University of Illinois. Gene holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Illinois, Springfield, and a bachelor’s degree from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon, majoring in business management and information systems design. Gene spent the majority of his career on the Oregon Coast, where he was the operations manager and director of information technology at Southwest Oregon Regional Airport, and airport director at Newport Municipal Airport. He served as the director of operations at Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and as the director of airside operations at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Gene has worked in aviation operations management since he was 19 years old and has held positions at five airports spanning over 30 years. Prior to coming to the Tri-Cities, he was the executive director of University of Illinois Willard Airport. Gene Cossey became the executive director of the Tri-Cities Airport Authority in February 2019. ![]()
